Project Zomboid: Showcase Your Survival Stats with Twitch Stats Mod
Elevate your Project Zomboid streaming experience with the Twitch Stats mod. This powerful modification seamlessly integrates with your gameplay, allowing you to display real-time survival statistics directly on your stream. Designed with streamers in mind, Twitch Stats provides a dynamic and engaging way to share your progress with your audience, making every zombie kill and every moment of survival a shared victory.
Effortless Integration for Streamers
The Twitch Stats mod is designed for straightforward integration, primarily for use with OBS as a real-time source. Once activated and a game session is fully loaded or a new save is initiated, the mod automatically generates essential data files. Simply add a Text GDI source in your streaming software and point it to the generated files: zkills.txt for your zombie kill count and timealive.txt for your survival time. For those looking to incorporate character build details, an additional file, PlayerTraits.txt, is also generated, containing relative data for your current save.
Key Features and Enhancements
This latest version of Twitch Stats brings significant improvements to its usability and functionality:
- Intrusive UI: Features a new, less intrusive UI that won’t obstruct your gameplay view.
- UI Customization: Double-clicking the UI allows you to change its orientation, and the Right Control key toggles its visibility.
- Save UI Position: The mod now temporarily saves your UI position by simply closing and re-opening it.
- KillCount Mod Support: Integrates with the KillCount Mod, displaying additional kill metrics such as fire and vehicle kills directly in the UI.
- Customizable Icons: Personalize the in-game UI by replacing the default icons. Simply edit the provided PSD file in the UI directory, ensuring your custom icons maintain the original naming convention and PNG format.
Advanced Twitch Integration
Beyond direct OBS integration, Twitch Stats can also be utilized with other popular Twitch bots like Nightbot. For this advanced setup, an external program is required to act as an HTTP server, serving the data files from your %userprofile%/zomboid/lua/ directory to your bots. This allows bots to retrieve all available information, including character build details, providing a comprehensive data stream for your audience.
The Twitch Stats mod is a testament to the collaborative spirit of the Project Zomboid modding community. It offers a valuable tool for streamers looking to add an extra layer of interaction and visual flair to their Project Zomboid broadcasts.
