Organize Your Survival Gear with 3D Equipment Lockers for Project Zomboid
Tired of rummaging through countless containers for that specific piece of armor or your spare combat boots? The 3D Equipment Lockers mod for Project Zomboid transforms how you manage your essential survival gear, turning storage into a functional and visually appealing display.
Visualize Your Arsenal
This mod brings your clothing and armor storage to life. Instead of abstract inventory slots, each item you store is represented by its actual 3D model on the shelf. This allows for instant visual identification of your gear, making organization and retrieval incredibly intuitive and efficient.
Functional Furniture for Every Survivor
3D Equipment Lockers introduces a variety of new furniture pieces designed to suit different organizational needs:
- Wood and Metal Equipment Racks: Compact, open racks perfect for displaying a full outfit along with a sidearm and long gun.
- Wood and Metal Equipment Lockers: Larger units featuring independent bays, each capable of storing a complete survivor kit.
- Armory Equipment Rack: A substantial rack designed for equipping groups, pooling multiple item categories into a single, easily managed window.
- Armor Rack: Specifically designed for protective gear, this rack features dedicated sections for storing full sets of armor.
Streamlined Access and Management
Interacting with your stored gear is designed to be quick and practical. Right-click an empty slot to stow your currently worn items, or right-click a filled slot to instantly equip them. You can also drag items between slots to fine-tune your displays. For ultimate convenience, “Equip and Store” functions allow you to manage an entire outfit with a single action. Furthermore, transferring eligible clothing items into the main storage can automatically fill available slots, keeping your setup tidy.
Enhanced Gameplay Experience
These equipment displays are built to integrate seamlessly into your Project Zomboid world. Stored items and their arrangements persist through saves and loads, and the system is fully synchronized for both single-player and multiplayer sessions. Lockers require emptying before they can be moved, ensuring a logical in-game interaction. While not specifically supporting custom clothing packs, the mod intelligently uses the game’s standard body-location properties, meaning most conventional and custom clothing items should display correctly. Items lacking a valid world model are handled safely.
Please note: This mod requires the 3D Gun Racks mod to be active for it to function correctly.
