Project Zomboid: Power Armor Framework – Survive in Style

Step into the wasteland of Project Zomboid with a whole new level of protection and power. This mod introduces a robust Power Armor Framework, allowing survivors to don the imposing suits of mechanized infantry. No longer will you be just another vulnerable survivor; with this framework, you can become a walking fortress, capable of shrugging off the undead hordes.

Embrace Mechanized Might

Power armor in this mod is a complex, multi-component system. It consists of a base frame onto which various armor pieces can be attached, offering unparalleled defense. The key to its functionality lies in a Fusion Core, the lifeblood of your suit. This core will drain over time, with strenuous actions accelerating the depletion. Once the core is empty, the armor still provides protection and a significant encumbrance boost, but you’ll lose the enhanced mobility and offensive capabilities. Finding and maintaining these suits is a challenge in itself, requiring diligent scavenging, considerable repair skills, and the right components.

Discover and Deploy

This framework brings several iconic power armor suits into your Project Zomboid experience, each with its own visual flair and potential. Currently, you can find and utilize:

  • The sturdy T-60
  • The advanced X-01
  • The classic T-51

Once equipped, a dedicated UI will display vital information, including your health, the status of your Fusion Core, and your remaining Action Points (AP). This ensures you’re always aware of your suit’s operational status.

The Importance of Power and Maintenance

A drained Fusion Core means your power armor reverts to a slower, less potent state. To keep your suit operational, you’ll need to find Fusion Cores and insert them by right-clicking the UI element dedicated to the core. Be warned: while wearing a powered suit, skill acquisition for traits boosted by the armor is nullified unless the core is removed or depleted. Repairs are handled through the game’s existing armor repair system, but be prepared for a significant resource investment. You’ll need substantial quantities of items like metal pipes, scrap metal, sheet metal, various electronic components, and a functional blowtorch to bring damaged frames back to fighting condition.

Prepare yourself for a new era of survival in Project Zomboid. Scavenge, repair, and power up to face the apocalypse like never before.
