A Map Reimagined
The developers behind Pitstop have undertaken a complete rebuild, meticulously crafting this map to be both historically appropriate and functionally superior. Forget the old layout; this mod introduces a wealth of new features and refinements designed to enhance gameplay.
Key highlights of the Pitstop mod include:

- Integration of time-period appropriate elements for a more believable post-apocalyptic setting.
- The addition of intriguing new locations, including basements and areas that may host animal encounters.
- Leveraging of new vanilla tiles to ensure seamless integration with the base game.
- Strategic adjustments to building placement and map flow for more dynamic exploration and combat encounters.
- Refined zombie spawn points to create more challenging and varied threats.
- General bug fixes and performance tweaks for a smoother experience.
- Removal of any “meme-like” or out-of-place content for a more serious tone.
Essential Considerations for Installation
To fully appreciate the Pitstop mod and avoid visual glitches, it is crucial to ensure you have the necessary additional tile packs installed. If you encounter any tile-related issues, double-check that you have enabled 2x textures and confirmed all relevant tiles are active within your mod list.
This map also features content from InverseFlux, including a dedicated area resembling a space museum and a research laboratory. These zones are designed to offer significant challenges, boasting a large number of zombies and unique custom gear to discover.
Please note that there are two distinct versions of this mod: “Pitstop” (the newest, fully reworked version) and “Pitstop Legacy” (the original 6-cell map). It is essential to choose and install only one of these versions at a time to prevent conflicts. Server owners are welcome to include this mod in their modpacks, as full permission is granted.
