Bring Verticality to Your Project Zomboid Survival with Gun’s Elevator Mod
For survivors navigating the desolate landscapes of Project Zomboid, efficient movement is key. Imagine bypassing the perilous stairwells and venturing between floors with newfound ease. Gun’s Elevator Mod introduces a revolutionary way to traverse multi-story buildings, adding a layer of immersion and practicality to your zombie-infested world. This mod focuses on making elevators a fully functional part of your base or any building you explore, complete with interiors, sound effects, and the ability to transport more than just you.
Seamless Vertical Travel
Gun’s Elevator Mod transforms static building elements into dynamic transportation systems. Once installed, you can begin constructing your own elevators. The process involves placing an elevator button, which then defines the elevator shaft behind it, creating vertical rooms for your elevator to operate within. After construction, you’ll gain the ability to call the elevator, which will then travel between floors, bringing any nearby zombies, items, or objects along for the ride. Inside, a control panel allows you to select your desired floor, and the elevator will ascend or descend, stopping at each intermediate level until your destination is reached.
Key Features and Functionality
- Functional Elevators: Experience fully operational elevators with interactive interiors and atmospheric sounds.
- Transportable Cargo: Zombies, items, and even loose objects can be moved between floors within the elevator.
- Customizable Travel: Sandbox options allow you to adjust travel time between floors and configure various power settings.
- Interactive Controls: Utilize context menus for calling the elevator, opening doors, climbing shafts, and prying open stuck doors.
- Power Dependency: The elevator system requires power to function, with alternative manual door access available when unpowered.
- Emergency Stop: An emergency stop feature can be activated with a key or through sandbox settings.
Building and Usage Tips
When building your elevator shaft, ensure the desired room is fully enclosed by walls to prevent unintended expansion. A minimum of two vertically aligned buttons on the same coordinates is required to establish the shaft. Each floor of the shaft must be an enclosed space, with the button positioned within two tiles of the elevator doors. Remember that the top floor of the elevator system needs a power connection for full functionality. Reloading your game might temporarily disable elevator lights, but interacting with the control panel should resolve this.
Gun’s Elevator Mod offers a significant enhancement to your Project Zomboid experience, providing a strategic and engaging method for vertical navigation. Embrace this new dimension of base building and exploration.
