Functional Clotheslines for Project Zomboid

Breathe new life into your survivor’s laundry routine with the Functional Clothesline mod for Project Zomboid. This mod transforms existing clotheslines and introduces new ways to manage your gear, adding a layer of realism and utility to your base.

Crafting and Functionality

Gone are the days of static, purely decorative clotheslines. This mod allows you to craft your own clotheslines. Construct poles from the build menu, placing them in a line with a maximum of ten spaces between them. Once positioned, you can use wire from your inventory to string them together, creating functional storage solutions. Dismantle poles when not in use to reclaim materials, and yes, you can even salvage wire from existing clotheslines.

Storage and Drying Mechanics

Clotheslines now act as containers, with the central lines offering two storage slots and the outer ones providing one, visually represented on the sprites. Additionally, a new craftable Clothes Horse offers six storage slots and can be moved and folded. Drying clothes on a clothesline is more efficient than leaving them on the ground, with adjusted drying values. Be mindful of the weather; rain will dampen your laundry, making it wet at a slightly slower rate than if it were simply left on the ground, but faster than properly hung items.

Key Features:

  • Craftable clothesline poles and wire system.
  • Functional clotheslines as storage containers.
  • New craftable Clothes Horse with movable and foldable properties.
  • Adjusted drying mechanics for laundry.
  • Randomized sprites for clotheslines add visual variety.
  • Submods available for integrating functionality into existing saves and adding items to the Building Menu mod.

With randomized sprites and ongoing development planned to potentially match clothing items, this mod enhances both the aesthetics and practicality of your Project Zomboid survivor experience. Keep your gear dry, organized, and looking its best, even in the apocalypse.
