How it Works

This mod adds tangible consequences to door interactions when zombies or other players are directly behind them. The impact’s effectiveness is dictated by a combination of factors, including your character’s Strength and Fitness, the type and condition of the door, and even the strain on your character’s arms. This system seamlessly integrates with Project Zomboid’s existing combat, offering a fresh tactical option without replacing core gameplay.

Key Features

• Physical Door Impacts: Directly damage, stagger, or knock down targets positioned behind doors by opening or closing them.
• Character-Driven Power: Your Strength determines the force of the impact, how many targets can be affected, and the likelihood of a knockdown. Fitness influences the strain your character experiences.
• Progressive Arm Strain: Repeated impacts build muscle tension, temporarily limiting your ability to use doors offensively until your character recovers.
• Diverse Door Interactions: Different door types – from standard wood and glass to reinforced, scrap, double, garage, and sliding doors – possess unique properties affecting damage, resistance, and durability.
• Meaningful Durability: Doors visibly wear down with impacts, with certain types like garage doors capable of suffering structural damage.
• Multi-Target Capability: A single, well-placed impact can affect multiple targets, whether they’re standing or crawling.
