The “Uniform Storage Distribution” mod offers an elegant solution to this persistent challenge, ensuring a balanced and efficient use of your storage capacity.

How Uniform Storage Distribution Works

This mod introduces a simple yet powerful mechanic to your game. Once enabled, it intelligently divides the total storage capacity of a selected container equally among all the resources you’ve designated in that container’s filter settings. This means that instead of one resource monopolizing the space, each selected item will receive its fair share.

The process is straightforward:

• Select a compatible storage building.
• Activate the “Uniform Distribution” toggle within its interface.
• Configure the filter to include the specific resources you want to manage uniformly.

The mod then calculates the allotted space for each resource. For instance, if a container has a capacity of 3000kg and you’ve selected three different resources for uniform distribution, each resource will be limited to 1000kg. Duplicants and Auto-Sweepers will then only deliver resources up to their individually assigned limits. Once a specific resource reaches its allocated capacity, further delivery tasks for that item are automatically paused, allowing your Duplicants to focus on filling the remaining available slots with other selected resources.
