Unlocked through the Refined Renovations technology, the Storage Pod is a mid-to-late game essential for any colony aiming for peak efficiency. Introducing the Specialized Cool Pod

For those critical food supplies, the Cool Pod offers a dedicated solution. Also requiring 100 kg of Refined Metal to construct, this specialized storage unit is unlocked with Agriculture. While its storage capacity for food is a more focused 50 kg, its key feature is its ability to maintain a cooler internal temperature. This is crucial for preserving perishables and reducing spoilage. Be aware that the Cool Pod requires a constant input of 60 kW of electricity to operate, so plan your power grid accordingly.
