Tired of your Duplicants struggling to master the art of ranching? This mod introduces a significant boost to the Ranching skill, allowing your Duplicants to become adept animal handlers much faster. Whether you’re focused on maximizing egg production or ensuring the well-being of your critters, this enhancement will streamline your operations and unlock new levels of efficiency.

Core Improvements to Ranching

The “Ranching Skill Increase” mod directly impacts how your Duplicants gain experience in their ranching duties. When a Duplicant performs the grooming action, they now gain experience that contributes to their overall Ranching statistics. This means that consistent interaction with your creatures directly translates into improved skills, making your Duplicants more proficient over time.

Skill Bonuses and Stat Enhancements

Beyond the basic experience gain, the mod also bolsters the “Improved Ranching I” skill, offering substantial benefits:

  • Extended Grooming Duration: Grooming actions now last for 60 seconds per point of Ranching skill, a notable increase from the base game’s 40 seconds.
  • Increased Grooming XP: Each successful grooming session grants 50 XP to the Ranching stat, compared to the standard 35 XP.
  • Lullaby Effect: The duration of the lullaby effect applied to creatures has been extended, mirroring the enhanced grooming times.
  • Wrangling Experience: The act of wrangling creatures now contributes to increasing the Ranching stat.
  • Speed Bonuses: Your Duplicants will benefit from a speed bonus of +10% to wrangling and singing lullaby for each point in their Ranching stat. Note that this speed bonus does not apply to grooming actions.

Customization and Compatibility

For those who like to fine-tune their gameplay, the mod offers a degree of customization. After the mod is first used in-game, a configuration file named “RanchConfig.Txt” will appear. This file allows you to adjust the values for experience gains and duration bonuses to perfectly suit your playstyle. Please ensure you have the “QoL mk3” mod installed, as it is a requirement for this enhancement to function correctly.
