Each of these new modules is mutually exclusive with existing command modules, ensuring a focused approach to your rocket designs.
Unlocking Advanced Rocketry
To harness the power of these AI modules, you’ll need to invest in specific technologies and skills. The AI modules themselves require the Mechatronics Skill to construct. Furthermore, both the AI Control Module and the AI Nosecone are locked behind the “High Velocity Destruction” research project. For the ultimate in autonomous flight, the AI Brain Module requires a new technology called “Artificial Learning Capabilities,” which demands a significant investment in space science research.
The Power of AI Brains
Once you’ve unlocked the AI Brain Module, you’ll discover its remarkable capabilities. These brains can be constructed in the Molecular Forge, utilizing specific resources. You can even name your AI brains, adding a personal touch to your automated fleet. If you need to reallocate resources, AI brains can be demolished to refund their construction materials. Interestingly, certain Points of Interest (POIs) will drop AI brains when demolished, though these specific brains will not refund resources.
A key feature of the AI brains is their learning capability. As an AI brain travels on a rocket, it actively learns and improves, leading to significantly faster flight speeds at higher piloting levels.
Customization and Configuration

You can also set the “Ai Brain Start Multiplier” to determine the initial speed of your learning AI brains.
