Residential buildings type 120K

Enhance Your Soviet Republic with 120K Series Residential Buildings

Elevate the urban landscape of your Soviet Republic with the meticulously crafted 120K series residential buildings. This mod introduces a faithful recreation of these distinctive Soviet-era apartment blocks, originally designed for new neighborhoods in Klaipėda and other Lithuanian cities, as well as construction in Latvia and Russia. The 120K series represents a significant architectural development, aiming to provide high-quality housing with thoughtful layouts.

Authentic Soviet Architecture

The 120K series, developed by the IPGS of the Lithuanian SSR’s State Construction Committee, stands out for its unique design. While based on the earlier 120 series, these buildings incorporated improvements and variations between their early 1987 and late 1989 construction periods. This mod captures the essence of these structures, focusing on preserving the “architectural excesses” and simplified elements found in later iterations, offering a realistic glimpse into late Soviet urban planning. The developers have strived to maintain the fidelity of the original designs, ensuring these buildings feel authentic within your game.

Improved Living Spaces and Versatile Construction

A key characteristic of the 120K series, as faithfully represented in this mod, is its superior housing quality. The internal layouts are noted for being spacious and well-designed, even for smaller apartments, often featuring larger halls and balcony access. This translates to a housing quality of 96 across all included variants. While these buildings may have a slightly higher construction cost, the improved living conditions and aesthetic appeal justify the investment for your growing Soviet Republic. The mod provides a variety of sections, including complete building designs as well as modular “T” and “H” shaped components. This allows for creative neighborhood planning, enabling you to construct unique and varied urban layouts.

Key Features of the 120K Series Mod:

• High housing quality of 96 for all included buildings.
• Authentic architectural designs based on real-world 120K series structures.
• A range of building configurations, from single sections to combined units.
• Variety in resident capacity, from smaller blocks to larger apartment complexes.
• Enables the creation of diverse and visually interesting residential districts.

This mod offers a valuable addition for players looking to diversify their cities with historically inspired residential architecture. By incorporating these 120K series buildings, you can add a new layer of visual and functional depth to your Soviet Republic.
