Residental building type ChPD-9

Introducing the ChPD-9 Residential Building Series for Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic

Enhance your Soviet Republic with the new ChPD-9 residential building series, a mod that brings a unique piece of architectural history to your cities. Developed by aleksandria174, this mod focuses on a specific panel building design that was once a common sight, particularly in the city of Chelyabinsk.

A Blend of Eras

The ChPD-9, or “Chelyabinsk panel house – 9-story,” represents an fascinating architectural fusion. Originating in the early 1970s and conceived by ChelyabGrazhdanProekt with input from Leningrad architects, these buildings subtly incorporate recognizable elements from Leningrad’s own panel construction styles, such as the LG-606 series. The result is a design that bridges the gap between the functional simplicity of the Khrushchev-era and the more developed Brezhnev-era housing projects. These structures were pioneering in their time as the first nine-story, multi-entrance buildings in Chelyabinsk, inheriting some characteristics of earlier designs like bathrooms with windows and refrigerators built into the kitchen walls.

Key Features of the Mod

This mod meticulously recreates the most prevalent variations of the ChPD-9 series, focusing on buildings with four and six entrances. When implementing these structures in your republic, please note that the mod is optimized for level terrain, as corner inserts or individual entrance sections are not included. The buildings come with three distinct, historically accurate color schemes – white, blue, and yellow – reflecting common urban aesthetics.

• Two building variations: 4-entrance and 6-entrance configurations.
• Housing quality: 84%.
• Resident capacity: 288 for the 4-entrance model and 432 for the 6-entrance model.
• Three authentic color skins: white, blue, and yellow.
• Designed for optimal placement on level ground.
