Discover Compact Quay Harbours for Your Soviet Republic
Enhance your industrial and logistical capabilities in Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic with the innovative Quay Harbours mod. This collection offers a versatile range of harbor solutions designed to fit seamlessly along coastlines and riverbanks, providing essential docking facilities without the extensive footprint of traditional piers.
Streamlined Waterfront Solutions
The Quay Harbours mod introduces a series of quay-style harbors, perfect for situations where space is at a premium or where a more integrated waterfront aesthetic is desired. These harbors dock ships parallel to the shore, making them exceptionally well-suited for deployment along rivers, within sheltered bays, or for managing lower-volume cargo and passenger traffic.
Diverse Harbor Options
This mod brings a variety of specialized quay harbors to your game, mirroring the functionality of vanilla options while offering a more compact design:
* **General Cargo Harbor:** For all your general freight needs.
* **Aggregate Loading Harbor:** Efficiently load bulk materials like gravel and coal.
* **Aggregate Unloading Harbor:** Quickly unload your aggregate shipments.
* **Pumping Harbor:** Essential for liquid cargo transfers.
* **Passenger Harbours:** Two sizes available to accommodate varying passenger volumes.
* **Free Cargo Harbor:** A no-cost option for basic cargo operations.
* **Free Passenger Harbor:** Providing essential passenger transport without initial investment.
* **Free Dock:** A simple, free option for basic ship access.
These quays boast the same operational statistics as their vanilla counterparts, with the key difference being a halved fuel capacity and a reduced number of vehicle stations (one for ships and two for land vehicles). Their significantly smaller build size translates to quicker construction times, allowing you to expand your logistical network with greater speed.
Important Considerations
It’s important to be aware of a limitation inherent in the game’s engine. Ships will always approach and depart harbors from the same designated side. For most of these quay harbors, this is the left side when viewed from the water, which is also where the fuel tank is located. For the free quay, this designated side is marked by the shorter jetty. This directional constraint may result in minor visual clipping of ships into the land or harbor structures when they approach from the opposite, non-designated side.
