Cargo and waste trams pack for Early Start

Enhance Early Game Logistics with the Cargo and Waste Trams Pack

Revolutionize your resource management in the early stages of Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic with this essential mod. The Cargo and Waste Trams Pack introduces a fleet of versatile tram vehicles designed to significantly boost your transport capabilities when options are otherwise limited. These modified trams offer a compelling alternative to standard early-game vehicles, providing larger carrying capacities and the unique ability to utilize both tramway networks and electric rail infrastructure.

Unlocking New Transport Potential

This mod is particularly beneficial for medium-range transport into densely populated urban centers or for establishing compact industrial rail networks within manufacturing zones. As lorries often have restricted capacity in the early game, these trams provide a much-needed upgrade, ensuring a smoother flow of goods and materials. Their dual-road and rail capability, especially when paired with the included low-speed electrical rails, allows for direct delivery into and out of city areas, streamlining your supply chains.

Diverse Cargo Options

The pack offers a variety of specialized tram wagons to suit different logistical needs:

  • Boxcar trams available in 100-tonne and 60-tonne capacities for general cargo.
  • Waste trams designed for efficient disposal, with 80-tonne and 40-tonne variants.
  • Meat trams offering 50-tonne and 30-tonne load sizes for perishable goods.
  • Dry bulk trams, capable of hauling 100 tonnes or 60 tonnes of bulk materials.
  • Open cargo trams with impressive capacities of 110 tonnes and 55 tonnes.

All trams boast a top speed of 70 kph and are available for purchase with rubles between 1927 and 1974. To fully utilize these vehicles, especially for efficient waste loading, specialized modded tram cargo stations are required. These are conveniently available as a companion mod.

Technical Considerations

It’s important to note certain technical limitations inherent to the tram cargo station system. The payload is integrated within the locomotive, meaning train configurations cannot be altered, and the visualization of specific cargo types like waste is not possible. While these trams excel on lines connecting tram cargo and/or railway cargo stations, they are not compatible with Delivery Offices, except for railway Delivery Offices when operating exclusively between rail cargo stations.
