Aggregate and fluid tram stations
Streamline Your Soviet Republic with Advanced Tram Cargo Stations
Enhance your transportation network in Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic with a specialized set of modded stations designed for aggregate and fluid cargo trams. This mod introduces new possibilities for managing the flow of essential goods, offering a cost-effective alternative for specific logistical challenges.
Optimized for Cargo Trams
This collection of stations is built to seamlessly integrate with the existing cargo tram functionality. Leveraging modified vanilla assets, the oil and loading stations are cleverly adapted from existing truck station models, while unloading elements are inspired by gravel quarry designs. This thoughtful approach ensures a consistent visual style within your republic while providing crucial new infrastructure.
Cost-Effective and Niche Solutions
While not intended to replace the heavy-duty capacity of your heavy rail network, these aggregate and fluid tram stations carve out valuable niches. They present a significantly more affordable option compared to their heavy rail counterparts, making them ideal for:
- Supplying fuel or heating coal to cities and smaller settlements over longer distances.
- Facilitating logistics within compact, densely packed industrial zones.
- Bridging early-game supply gaps before the full implementation of heavy rail.
These stations allow for more granular control and distribution, especially in areas where large-scale rail infrastructure might be impractical or uneconomical.
Understanding Technicalities
It’s important to be aware of a few technical considerations when implementing these stations. They are not found in the standard construction menu but are accessible through the left-hand mod menu. To locate them, simply search for “aggregate tram” or “fluid tram.” While these stations can be incorporated into lines that also utilize regular railway track via the splitter, they cannot be directly assigned within Rail Dispatch Offices. Their operation is strictly limited to assigned lines.
