Unlocking New Interactions

NotSafeForTerraria allows players to engage in unique interactions with certain vanilla town NPCs. The core mechanic revolves around proximity and NPC happiness. Once a specific hotkey is bound within your tModLoader controls, approaching a contented NPC will reveal new possibilities.

To initiate an interaction, players will need to:

• Bind the designated interaction key in your tModLoader keybind menu.
• Position yourself near an eligible Town NPC.
• Press the bound interaction key to begin.
• During specific moments within the animation, if your character’s “bar” (which varies based on player gender) exceeds 80%, you can click the heart icon to progress.
• After the animation concludes, pressing the interaction key again will allow for a repeat engagement, or simply waiting two seconds will end the interaction.

Supported and Excluded NPCs

This mod focuses on interactions with vanilla town NPCs. Players should be aware that not all NPCs are available for these interactions. Specifically excluded from NotSafeForTerraria are the Angler, Princess, Tavernkeep, and Truffle. Furthermore, any NPCs added by other mods are not supported by this modification.

The mod currently supports both male and female player characters. While the developers have noted that some male NPC heads may not perfectly align during certain animations, this is a known quirk.
