Item Bar
Enhance Your tModLoader Experience with the Item Bar Mod
Tired of juggling your inventory to quickly access essential tools, powerful spells, or crucial potions in tModLoader? The Item Bar mod introduces a revolutionary quality-of-life improvement, offering a dedicated second hotbar designed to streamline your gameplay. This mod allows you to bookmark up to ten items directly from your inventory, making them instantly accessible via customizable keybinds without disrupting your primary hotbar setup.
Seamless Item Access, Uninterrupted Gameplay
The core concept behind Item Bar is to provide rapid access to a curated selection of items. Imagine being in the heat of battle, needing a specific buff potion or a quick summon, but your main hotbar is dedicated to your primary combat gear. With Item Bar, simply press a designated key, and the item is used, aimed precisely at your cursor, while your main hotbar remains untouched. This means less time fumbling through menus and more time focusing on the action.
Key Features and Supported Items
The Item Bar mod offers a flexible and user-friendly system:
- Bookmark System: Items are bookmarked and remain in your inventory, freeing up valuable hotbar slots.
- Dedicated Slots: A draggable 10-slot bar provides ample space for your most frequently used items.
- Versatile Use: Supports a wide range of items including weapons, spells, summons, pickaxes, axes, hammers, potions, food, buff drinks, mirrors, and boss summoning items.
- Customizable Controls: Assign items to specific slots with a simple click and configure unique keybinds for each slot.
- Configurable Appearance: Options to make the bar transparent and to show or hide cooldown UI elements are available.
While the mod is primarily intended for quick access to spells, tools, and consumables, it aims for broad compatibility with most modded items.
Important Considerations and Known Issues
As this mod is in its early stages of development, some limitations are in place. Melee weapons, yoyos, flails, maces, and channel weapons like flamethrowers and drills are not its primary focus and may not function as expected. The mod is designed for keyboard and mouse input; controller support is not currently implemented. Bar position and item bookmarks are saved per character, and the UI and keybinds are client-side, ensuring smooth multiplayer functionality where each player manages their own Item Bar.
