Near-death experiences trigger a dramatic increase in Taint Value, representing a desperate restoration by your Soul Gem.

Mastering Time and Taint

Your journey through tModLoader will be punctuated by your mastery of Taint Value and Karma. Karma Value, gained by defeating powerful bosses and lost through death, influences the maximum Taint Value you can endure in subsequent cycles. The mod introduces a cyclical progression, where after the first cycle, time-stopping allows for shop item manipulation. Furthermore, after the third cycle, a significant transformation occurs, unlocking new powers and abilities.

Starting Forms: Moemura and Homura

The mod offers two distinct starting experiences: Moemura and Homura. Moemura begins with a baseball bat, a Time Shield, and relies on glasses for clear vision, otherwise facing a blurred screen. Her movement speed is capped, and her melee attacks are slower, with ballistic attacks having some deviation. Homura, on the other hand, starts with the Time Shield and a Walther P5, boasting an extra jump and enhanced base stats.
