Cosmodium Mod (Alpha)
Unearth New Horizons with the Cosmodium Mod for tModLoader
Embark on a fresh adventure within the world of tModLoader with the Cosmodium Mod, a project by JonUniversal that’s steadily growing its content and features. This mod represents a significant expansion, offering players a wealth of new items, crafting opportunities, and challenges to explore. While still in its early stages, the Cosmodium Mod is built upon a foundation of creative ambition, promising a dynamic and evolving experience for dedicated tModLoader players.
Expanding Your Arsenal and Crafting Capabilities
The Cosmodium Mod introduces a substantial amount of new content designed to enrich your gameplay, particularly in the pre-Hardmode phase. Players can look forward to discovering numerous new items, significantly broadening their combat and utility options. Crafting stations have also received a significant overhaul, with existing stations gaining enhanced visual flair and a new, late pre-Hardmode crafting station, the Mineral Fabricator, being added. This allows for the creation of otherwise scarce or unobtainable materials, opening up new strategic possibilities for gear progression.
Introducing New Weapons and Debuffs
Prepare for exciting additions to your combat repertoire. The mod brings forth innovative weapon types, including:
- Rocket, Mine, and Grenade Launchers for explosive ranged attacks.
- Dodgeball-style weapons for a unique melee experience.
- The intriguing Laser Pointer, a ranged weapon for summoners.
Complementing these new armaments are four distinct debuffs, each with its own set of characteristics and challenges. From the swift damage-over-time of WeakVenom and UnderworldFlame to the lingering effects of CryoBurn, which can slightly impede movement, and the perilous Blackfire, these debuffs add a new layer of tactical depth to encounters.
Biomes, Enemies, and Discoveries
The Cosmodium Mod also makes its mark on the world itself, with changes to existing biomes and the introduction of new inhabitants. The Durastone biome has been rebalanced, shifting its placement to offer a more challenging encounter post-Eye of Cthulhu or Brain of Cthulhu. This transformation is accompanied by new enemies specifically designed for this area, alongside additional surface-dwelling foes and even familiar avian critters. Furthermore, a unique, manually constructible biome has been added, hinting at future expansions and purposes. Keep an eye out for the rare Splingle Coin, which now has a unique animation and sound effect upon dropping from any enemy, adding a small but satisfying discovery to your journeys.
