Beam Stops Spread
Master Biome Control in tModLoader with Beam Stops Spread
Are you weary of the relentless spread of biomes encroaching upon your meticulously crafted worlds in tModLoader? Do you seek a sophisticated method to manage these expansions without resorting to disabling them entirely? The Beam Stops Spread mod offers an ingenious solution, empowering you to establish protected zones and maintain the integrity of your environments through the strategic placement of a single, versatile item.
Introducing the Beacon and Connector System
At the heart of this mod lies the Beacon. Once placed, this remarkable item actively works to prevent the spread of biomes like The Hallow, Corruption, and Crimson. Its influence extends from the deepest underground caverns all the way to the sky, acting as an impenetrable barrier. The Beacon employs two primary functions to achieve this control:
- It directly communicates with infected tiles, instructing them to cease spreading within the Beacon’s protected radius.
- As a crucial failsafe, the Beacon continuously purifies any infected tiles within its area of influence, ensuring consistent protection.
To further expand your protected territories, the Beacon Connector allows you to link two Beacons of the same type. This fusion creates a larger, unified zone of protection, offering even greater control over biome expansion. Simply ensure that no other Beacons or Connectors interfere with the direct connection between the two primary Beacons of the same biome type.
Customizable Protection and Mod Settings
Beam Stops Spread offers a suite of configurable options to tailor the mod to your specific needs. Within the mod settings, you can:
- Adjust the size of a Beacon’s protective radius.
- Modify the range at which Connectors can link to Beacons.
- Enable or disable debug visualizations to observe the Beacon’s protective actions in real-time.
- Toggle map icons to easily locate your placed Beacons and Connectors on the world map.
As you approach the borders of a Beacon’s protected area, visual cues in the form of particle effects will appear, clearly indicating the edge of your controlled zone.
Crafting and Compatibility
The Beacons and Connectors are crafted using resources obtained through gameplay, requiring a Mythril or Orichalcum Anvil. Specific crafting recipes are provided for the Hallow Beacon, Corruption Beacon, Crimson Beacon, Confection Beacon, and the Beacon Connector. This mod is designed to be multiplayer-friendly and boasts compatibility with other modifications, including The Confection REBAKED, enhancing your tModLoader experience.
