Two Shops, Endless Possibilities
Angler Shops Alternative redefines how you interact with the Angler. Instead of a single, limited inventory, you’ll now find two dedicated shops:
- Shop 1: Utility and Equipment. This shop is your go-to for practical gear. Discover crucial items like the fishing bobbler, the bottomless honey bucket, and the honey absorbent sponge, alongside other valuable fishing equipment that will enhance your aquatic adventures.
- Shop 2: Vanity and Decorations. Express your style with a range of cosmetic items. This shop offers unique vanity sets and decorative pieces, allowing you to personalize your world with flair.
Both the familiar Quest button and the Happiness button remain accessible, ensuring a seamless integration with your existing gameplay mechanics.
Advanced Customization and Progression
Angler Shops Alternative offers unparalleled flexibility. By default, certain sought-after items are locked behind boss progression, adding a satisfying sense of achievement to your journey. Items like the Bottomless Water Bucket, Super Absorbent Sponge, and Master Bait become available after defeating any boss, while other rewards are tied to specific boss encounters. However, if you prefer immediate access, you can easily disable these boss locks through the mod’s convenient configuration menu.
Further enhancing the customization is the optional Angler Coin system. When enabled in the config, Angler Coins become the currency for these new shops. Earn these coins by completing fishing quests, with the rewards scaling based on your quest completion count. This adds a new layer of progression and encourages dedicated fishing.
Additionally, the mod introduces a chance for a Can of Worms to appear as a fishing quest reward, and this item is also available for purchase at a premium. This dual approach makes farming for the elusive Gold Worm and the coveted Gummy Worm much more accessible.
