Explore New Mechanics

The Wanderer’s gameplay revolves around the concept of “Memories.” You’ll gain buffs and debuffs by “Remembering” these memories, but be warned: the past is fleeting, and older memories may fade as new ones surface. To counteract this, players can cultivate “Clarity” to preserve important memories. However, prolonged exposure to the Spire’s influence can lead to “Snap,” where memories cascade uncontrollably.

You’ll also encounter “Material Components,” zero-cost cards offering minor effects, often acquired through unique combat interactions. One such interaction involves “The Grimoire,” which provides a near-endless stream of these components but comes with its own risks. Additionally, be aware of the “Burning” status effect, which deals damage each turn and hinders healing, and the “Entomb” mechanic, where some cards start in your Exhaust pile, only to return to your hand under specific conditions. Certain powerful cards, like The Grimoire, are designated “Legendary,” appearing only once per run.
