At the heart of the Jhin mod lies his signature “Whisper” ability. Jhin can unleash four powerful attacks before needing to reload. Once these four shots are fired, he enters a reloading state, unable to attack until his next turn begins. This core mechanic forces players to carefully consider their attack card usage and plan turns ahead. Do you unleash a barrage of weaker attacks, or save your powerful blows for the opportune moment? The reload mechanic demands foresight and precision.

Jhin’s ultimate attack in a firing cycle is particularly devastating, dealing bonus damage based on a percentage of the enemy’s maximum health and an additional percentage of their missing health. This scaling makes Jhin a potent force in the later stages of the Spire, where enemy health pools are significantly larger. However, managing the reload cycle is key to maximizing this potential.

Unique Keywords and Mechanics

The Jhin mod introduces several new keywords that define his playstyle:

• Reload: Instantly replenishes Jhin’s Whisper with four bullets, allowing him to attack again even if he was in a reloading state. This can be a crucial way to break the cycle and maintain offensive pressure.
• Captive Audience: At the end of each turn, enemies take damage based on Jhin’s stacks of Captive Audience. These stacks are then removed.
• Marked for Death: Similar to Vulnerable, but this debuff is removed after taking damage. It significantly increases damage taken from Attacks specifically, but is not consumed if the damage is fully blocked. This debuff can also be applied to Jhin himself.
• Provoked: If an enemy with Provoked attacks Jhin, Jhin gains 1 Energy at the start of the next turn.
