Mastering the Norma System

Star Breaker’s core mechanic revolves around her unique “Norma” system. Her starting relic, the Broken Bomb, allows her to increase her Norma Level by playing Skill cards. Many of her cards gain significantly enhanced or entirely new effects when played at a higher Norma Level, rewarding players who can sustain combat and build up this powerful buff. While Norma resets at the end of each combat, her other starting relic, the Homemark, offers a way to invest gold between battles to permanently raise your starting Norma Level for future fights, providing a strategic advantage.

The Blasting Light Mechanic

When Star Breaker gains a Norma Level, a “Star Blasting Light” card is added to your hand or draw pile. This potent card applies the “Blasting Light” debuff to all enemies. This debuff bypasses Artifact, steadily chipping away at enemy health. Unlike poison, Blasting Light stacks increase at the end of each turn, making it a dynamic damage-over-time effect. While the stacks can become unstable and wear off, the damage potential is significant, offering a unique way to overcome even the most resilient foes.
