The Spire’s shadowed halls have a new resident. This mod introduces Ines, a character drawn from a world of strategic conflict, now navigating the perilous ascents of Slay the Spire. Her arrival brings a unique playstyle, focusing on cunning maneuvers and a deep understanding of combat’s hidden currents.

Mastering Ines’s Arsenal

Ines is not a straightforward combatant. Her strength lies in a suite of specialized mechanics designed to outwit and outmaneuver her opponents. Players will need to master her unique abilities to succeed.

• Steals: A tactical attack that saps an enemy’s temporary Strength while bolstering your own, creating a dynamic power shift.
• Shadow Whistle: A special, unplayable card that offers a tactical advantage. When discarded, it grants Block and is Exhausted, providing a consistent defensive buffer.
• Invisibility: Enhances your Block gains. Crucially, it triggers the Exhaustion of Shadow Whistle after an attack, and at the end of your turn, converts leftover Invisibility into potent Illusions.
• Illusion: These ephemeral effects can either negate a single instance of incoming attack or be converted into energy at the start of your turn, offering flexibility in crucial moments.
• Intel: A unique card draw mechanic that allows you to continue drawing cards until your hand is full, ensuring you always have options, with unused Intel carrying over to future turns.

• 6 brand-new relics to discover and utilize.
• A fresh event to encounter, adding narrative depth and new choices.
• A new progression system known as “Truth,” offering unique rewards and insights.
• An exclusive extra level, “Londinium,” complete with 8 new enemies and a challenging new boss.

The “Truth” mechanic itself provides a fascinating layer, as defeating Elites and Bosses grants Truth. This can be interpreted at Rest Sites for powerful rewards or used to uncover deeper secrets within the Spire’s architecture.
