Vassal System
Introducing the Vassal System Mod for Civilization VI
Elevate your strategic gameplay in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with the innovative Vassal System mod. This comprehensive overhaul introduces a dynamic new layer of diplomacy and control, allowing you to forge unique relationships with defeated civilizations and integrate them into your burgeoning empire. Move beyond simple conquest and explore the nuanced art of lordship, where influence and strategic alliances can yield as much power as a well-placed army.
Mastering the Art of Vassalage
The Vassal System mod empowers you to establish a new form of governance. You can reinstate defeated civilizations as your vassals by returning their cities. Alternatively, a streamlined interface provides new launch bar icons and panels to facilitate this process. To create a vassal, you must have previously founded at least one city belonging to the defeated player, and only those who have been fully conquered are eligible to become your subjects.
Comprehensive Vassal Management
Once established, your vassals can be intricately managed through a dedicated new user interface. This system offers a suite of powerful options:
- Share Technology and Civics: Foster mutual growth by sharing technological advancements and cultural breakthroughs with your vassals, accelerating your collective progress.
- Send Officer: Bolster your vassal’s military strength and strategic capabilities by dispatching an officer, providing a significant combat power boost.
- Siphon Income: Strategically acquire resources from your vassal’s treasury, though be aware this may affect their willingness to join your wars.
- Takeover and Grant Cities: Exercise direct control by taking over non-capital cities from your vassals, or alternatively, bestow cities upon them to expand their territories and influence.
Properties of a Vassal
Vassals are intrinsically tied to their lord. They will automatically join your wars, and conversely, you are obligated to protect them from their enemies. Critically, vassals cannot initiate wars or peace treaties independently. Any peace agreement you establish with a former enemy will automatically extend to your vassals, ensuring a unified diplomatic front.
The Vassal System mod adds a compelling dimension to Civilization VI, encouraging players to think beyond traditional conquest and embrace the complexities of indirect rule and strategic alliances. Integrate this mod into your game and discover a new path to global dominance.
