Spain: Torquemada

Unleash the Spanish Inquisition in Civilization VI with the Torquemada Mod

Step into a new era of religious dominance and fervent conviction within Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with the revolutionary Torquemada mod. This enhancement introduces a formidable new leader for Spain, channeling the historical figure of Tomás de Torquemada to reshape the game’s religious landscape. Prepare to wield the power of the Inquisition like never before, asserting your faith across the globe.

The Grand Inquisition Awakens

Torquemada’s unique ability, “Grand Inquisition,” fundamentally alters how Spain approaches religious warfare and propagation. This potent trait offers a significant boost to your Inquisitors, allowing them to perform their vital task of removing heresy one additional time. This increased efficiency makes your religious units far more impactful in stamping out rival faiths and solidifying your own spiritual hegemony.

Furthermore, combat units under Torquemada’s command gain a crucial edge when confronting players who follow different religions. A substantial +4 Combat Strength bonus ensures your armies are better equipped to defend your faith and push back against any attempts to spread dissenting beliefs. To cap it off, Torquemada’s Inquisitors possess the power to eliminate 100% of the presence of other religions, offering a swift and decisive end to competing faiths within your borders.

The Alhambra Decree: A Leader’s Tenets

Torquemada’s agenda, the “Alhambra Decree,” perfectly reflects his zealous nature. He favors leaders who maintain a strong contingent of Inquisitors and share his chosen religion. Conversely, he harbors a deep-seated disdain for civilizations that adhere to different faiths, especially those that dare to encroach upon Spanish territory with their own evangelistic efforts. This agenda encourages a more aggressive and insular approach to religious policy, rewarding players who focus on internal spiritual purity and external religious suppression.

Key Features of the Torquemada Mod:

• Enhanced Inquisitor effectiveness with an extra use for removing heresy.
• A +4 Combat Strength bonus for units against foreign religions.
• Complete eradication of rival religious presence through Inquisitors.
• A unique agenda that prioritizes religious unity and discourages conversion.
• A fresh strategic layer for players focused on religious victory or domination.

The Torquemada mod injects a potent dose of religious fervor and strategic depth into your Sid Meier’s Civilization VI campaigns. Embrace the power of the Inquisition and lead Spain to spiritual supremacy.
