Heavenly Khan: A Commander’s Edge

Li Shimin’s unique leader ability, “Heavenly Khan,” rewards territorial control and strategic alliances. As you exert suzerainty over city-states, your cavalry units receive a combat strength bonus, making them formidable forces on the battlefield. Furthermore, controlling original capitals bolsters all your land units, turning your empire into a bastion of defense and offense. Capturing enemy capitals is also a rewarding endeavor, granting you valuable Envoys that scale with your governmental advancements.

Dynastic Cycles: Accelerated Progress

The Chinese civilization’s inherent strengths are amplified under Li Shimin. His “Dynastic Cycles” ability significantly boosts the yield from Eurekas and Inspirations, accelerating your scientific and cultural progress. Completing World Wonders becomes even more impactful, as it triggers the chance to receive a random Eureka and Inspiration from the Wonder’s era, further propelling your technological and civic advancements.

New Units and Buildings

This mod introduces the “Xuanjia,” a unique Medieval Heavy Cavalry unit that replaces the Knight. The Xuanjia boasts enhanced defensive combat strength, making it a crucial element in holding your ground against aggressors.

Complementing these military assets is the “Lingyan Pavilion,” a unique Government Plaza building that substitutes the Warlord’s Throne. While retaining the benefits of its predecessor, the Lingyan Pavilion offers additional strategic advantages. Capturing and holding original capitals grants you an extra Governor Title, and suzerainty over city-states yields Great Person points corresponding to their types each turn, fostering a steady stream of influential figures.
