Khalid Ibn Al-Walid – Rashidun Caliphate

Unleash the Sword of Allah with the Rashidun Caliphate Mod for Civilization VI

Prepare to rewrite history in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with the dynamic Khalid ibn al-Walid – Rashidun Caliphate mod. This ambitious addition places you at the helm of the legendary Rashidun Caliphate, led by the formidable Khalid ibn al-Walid, famously known as the “Sword of Allah.” Harness the power of early military might, swift movements, fervent religious expansion, and exceptional battlefield command to dominate your rivals and forge a new empire.

The Might of the Caliphate

The core of this mod lies in its unique Civilization Ability, “Army of the Caliphate.” This grants your land combat units the incredible advantage of forming Corps much earlier in the game, after researching Military Training, and even Armies after Mercantilism. This accelerated unit consolidation provides a significant early-game military advantage. Furthermore, successfully conquering a city exerts substantial Religious Pressure, bolstering your founded Religion and significantly boosting Loyalty in occupied cities that embrace your faith, making conquest far more sustainable.

Khalid ibn al-Walid’s Prowess

As the leader, Khalid ibn al-Walid’s unique Leader Ability, “Sword of Allah,” is a game-changer for your military. Great Generals gain an extra point of Movement, allowing for more flexible positioning. Crucially, any Rashidun land combat units within two tiles of a Great General receive a suite of potent combat bonuses: increased Movement, the ability to ignore movement penalties, no Combat Strength loss when damaged, and a significant +5 Combat Strength when attacking. This transforms your armies into unstoppable forces under the guidance of your Great Generals.

New Units and Buildings

This mod introduces the “Mubarizun,” a powerful Medieval melee unit replacing the Man-at-Arms. These warriors boast superior Combat Strength, especially against stronger foes, and their victories grant valuable Gold. Importantly, they require no Iron, ensuring their availability throughout your campaign. Complementing the Mubarizun is the “Diwan al-Jund,” a unique Encampment building that enhances your city’s infrastructure and military potential.

Key features of the Diwan al-Jund include:

  • Increased Production, Gold, and Culture yields.
  • Generates Great General points per turn.
  • Provides valuable Housing.
  • Boosts combat experience for newly trained land units.
  • Accelerates Production towards land Corps and Armies.

The Khalid ibn al-Walid – Rashidun Caliphate mod requires the Gathering Storm expansion and offers a compelling new way to experience Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, emphasizing aggressive expansion, strategic military positioning, and religious influence.
