Prepare to set sail on a new adventure in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with the FGO/Fate Altria Caster leads the Summer Britain civilization mod! This comprehensive addition introduces a unique civilization and a beloved leader, offering fresh strategic opportunities for players seeking a different path to victory.
Summer Britain: A Coastal Powerhouse
The Summer Britain civilization, under the guidance of Altria Caster, thrives by the sea. Their unique abilities are deeply intertwined with coastal development and naval prowess.
Unique Abilities: Summer Lostbelt
The “Summer Lostbelt” ability provides a significant early game advantage, granting access to crucial naval technologies like Celestial Navigation and Shipbuilding from the outset. This allows for immediate exploration and expansion across ocean tiles. Coastal cities flourish with an extra +2 Housing, supporting larger populations. Furthermore, Fishing Boats trigger a powerful Culture Bomb, expanding your borders rapidly. The true economic boon comes from shallow water tiles, each contributing a substantial +2 Food, +2 Gold, +1 Faith, and +1 Culture. Specialty districts also benefit immensely from the surrounding terrain, gaining bonuses based on their tile’s Appeal, rewarding players who cultivate aesthetically pleasing cities.
Unique Units and Buildings
This mod introduces several unique replacements designed to enhance Summer Britain’s strategic options:
* **BB Ferris Wheel:** Replacing the standard Ferris Wheel, this structure is available earlier and is less costly to construct. It provides a significant boost to city management with an extra +2 Amenities, +5 Power, and +5 Science.
* **Summer Seaside Resort:** This unique replacement for the Water Park is unlocked with the Civil Service civic and is cheaper to build. It offers universal adjacency bonuses to all specialty districts and doesn’t require a population to construct. A standout feature is its ability to grant all tiles within your civilization +1 Appeal upon completion, further boosting district yields.
* **Festival Normalization Committee Member:** The unique replacement for the Warrior unit requires more Production, boasts higher Combat Strength, and can be purchased with Faith, offering versatile military options.
Leader: Altria Caster (Berserker)
Altria Caster’s unique Leader Ability, “Hope-Wishing Sword of Legacy,” provides a robust start to any game. Each founded city immediately yields a free Builder and a Festival Normalization Committee Member. Citizens contribute +1 Production, a bonus that doubles if your civilization is at war or has recently liberated a city. Additionally, all units gain a formidable +10 Combat Strength when engaging Barbarians, making early-game defense and offense more manageable. Her “Summer Reveler” agenda favors diplomatic alliances, appreciating civilizations that declare friendship while disliking those who initiate conflict.
