District Expansion: Diplomacy

Expand Your Diplomatic Reach in Civilization VI with the District Expansion: Diplomacy Mod

Delve deeper into the intricate world of international relations within Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with the groundbreaking “District Expansion: Diplomacy” mod. This mod breathes new life into your Diplomatic Quarter, offering a wealth of new strategic choices that allow you to tailor your empire’s focus towards espionage, powerful alliances, or the intricate web of city-state relationships.

A Revamped Diplomatic Quarter

Prepare to rethink your Diplomatic Quarter’s development. This mod introduces significant changes, reworking existing buildings and adding four entirely new structures. The Diplomatic Quarter now presents three distinct building options for each tier, with your second-tier choice dynamically influenced by your initial selection. Furthermore, the influential Intelligence Agency and Foreign Ministry have been seamlessly integrated into the Diplomatic Quarter, enhancing its strategic importance.

New Avenues for Specialization

The “District Expansion: Diplomacy” mod empowers you to specialize your empire’s diplomatic strategy like never before. The new buildings offer unique bonuses:

  • Consulate: Bolster your alliances with increased Alliance Points and extend the benefits of your city-state trade routes to all your other trade routes.
  • Intelligence Agency: Gain an edge in the shadows with an additional spy and increased spy capacity, alongside a higher success rate for all your espionage operations.
  • Foreign Ministry: Streamline your city-state interactions, reducing the gold cost of leveraging them and providing a combat strength bonus to city-state units under your suzerainty.
  • Chancery: Amplify your Favor generation from alliances and earn valuable Envoys by successfully completing Emergencies and achieving top placements in Scored Competitions.
  • Security Service: Disrupt enemy espionage efforts by reducing the effectiveness of foreign spies targeting your cities and gain valuable Science when you successfully counter their operations.
  • Foreign Exchange: Expand your trading capabilities by unlocking additional Trade Route capacity based on the diversity of city-states you influence.

Government Plaza Enhancements

The Government Plaza also receives attention, with two new tier-two buildings replacing those moved to the Diplomatic Quarter. The Chamber of Commerce enhances the Great Person point generation from traders in a city, while the Examination Hall offers a potent one-time per era project that grants a Governor Title, Eureka, and Inspiration. Both new Government Plaza buildings, like their predecessors, provide a Governor Title upon construction and unlock your current government’s legacy policy card.

This mod requires the Gathering Storm expansion and the Ethiopia Pack. It offers excellent compatibility with other mods, including CIVITAS’ City States Expanded, but will not function with other mods that fundamentally alter the Diplomatic Quarter.
