Discover “Ghostly Craftsmanship: Ultimate Pangu” for Civilization VI

Prepare to experience a fresh take on world generation in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI with the “Ghostly Craftsmanship: Ultimate Pangu” mod. This ambitious map mod reimagines how continents and resources are formed, aiming to provide a more balanced and engaging starting experience for every player.

A New Approach to Map Generation

Tired of maps where starting locations feel inherently unfair? The creators of “Ghostly Craftsmanship” have moved away from traditional map scripts that prioritize Earth-like continents. Instead, they’ve adopted a novel “chunk-based” generation system. The map is constructed from individual 27-tile chunks, each meticulously designed to possess consistent rates of fresh water, mountains, forests, rainforests, flood plains, and resources. This meticulous design ensures a more equitable distribution, aiming to minimize drastic starting advantages and provide every player with a satisfying beginning.

Unique Map Features

This mod introduces several distinctive features to set it apart:

  • Guaranteed Starting Block Wonders: Every player’s starting chunk is guaranteed to include at least one desert tile and one adjacent Stone resource, offering immediate strategic options.
  • Geothermal Fissure Integration (CCB Config): When using the CCB configuration and geothermal features are enabled, these valuable resources will always spawn on Geothermal Fissure tiles. Furthermore, Geothermal Fissures appear more frequently and are no longer restricted to continental edges.
  • Resource and Continent Independence: Resources are no longer strictly tied to specific continents. The distribution of both luxury and strategic resources is more dynamic, with an aim for balanced quantities across the map, allowing for greater strategic flexibility.

Future Horizons

The developers have ambitious plans for the future, with potential new maps built on this innovative engine, including “Ghostly Craftsmanship: Thousand Islands,” “Ghostly Craftsmanship: Thousand Lakes,” and “Ghostly Craftsmanship: Mars.”

As this map is still in its early stages and has not undergone extensive multiplayer testing, occasional bugs or balancing adjustments may be necessary. Player feedback will be crucial in refining the experience. Embrace a new era of balanced exploration and strategic planning in your Civilization VI games with “Ghostly Craftsmanship: Ultimate Pangu.”
