Introducing the “Sons of the Emperor” Leader for Civilization VI

Prepare for a truly unique and disruptive addition to your Sid Meier’s Civilization VI experience with the introduction of Sun Xiaochuan as a new leader, at the helm of the Seres civilization. This mod plunges players into a narrative of survival and ambition, where the Emperor, having narrowly escaped an assassination attempt, returns to rally his loyal followers and reclaim his lost glory.

The “Villain” Leader Ability: A Risky Economy

Sun Xiaochuan’s leadership ability, aptly named “Villain,” revolves around a dramatic economic fluctuation tied to diplomatic relations. When you choose to condemn another civilization or are themselves condemned, you’ll receive a significant gold bonus of 3500 gold. However, initiating war or being declared war upon comes with a steep penalty, costing you 8000 gold. This mechanic forces players to carefully consider their diplomatic stance and the timing of their aggression, creating a high-stakes economic game.

The “Dog Fans” Unique Unit

Accompanying Sun Xiaochuan is the distinctive “Dog Fans” unit. This is not a replacement for any existing unit but a special reconnaissance unit with its own set of characteristics. The cost of producing “Dog Fans” increases with each unit you build. Crucially, their presence significantly impacts international relations, imposing a -1 relationship penalty with all other civilization leaders towards Sun Xiaochuan.

Key features of the “Dog Fans” include:

* A special reconnaissance unit, not replacing any existing unit types.
* No unit upgrade paths available.
* A starting combat strength of 10, movement of 8, and vision of 3.
* A production cost of 30.
* A unique stacking combat bonus: for every battle experienced, all your “Dog Fans” units permanently gain +1 combat strength, stacking up to a maximum of +100 combat strength.

This mod offers a fresh, albeit chaotic, strategic layer to Civilization VI, demanding a mastery of both diplomacy and battlefield prowess. Prepare to embrace the “Villain” and lead your “Dog Fans” to victory!
