Fortunately, a powerful new mod, the Resource Calculator, is here to streamline these processes and provide you with essential insights, directly within the game.

Intuitive Access and Interface

Accessing the Resource Calculator is designed to be seamless. You’ll find a distinct crimson-brown button in the bottom-left corner of your screen, which you can reposition as needed. For those who prefer keyboard shortcuts, simply press Ctrl + Shift + R to toggle the panel open or closed. When the panel is active, your mouse wheel will exclusively interact with its contents, preventing accidental scrolling of the main game view. Pressing ESC will quickly close the panel.

Two Powerful Tabs for Efficient Management

The mod’s interface is neatly divided into two essential tabs:

• Food Calculation: This section is invaluable for ensuring your colony never goes hungry. Input the number of duplicants you have, and the mod will automatically calculate the required crop yields and necessary resources. You can select specific food items to view their individual requirements and optimal planting strategies. The system calculates total caloric needs based on a standard of 1000 kcal per duplicant per cycle and then determines the number of plants needed to meet that demand.
• Rocketry Optimization: This tab is your go-to for efficient space exploration. It provides the most resource-conscious configurations, drawing data from the Oxygen Not Included Wiki’s rocket calculator. You can scan your current rockets to identify engines, tanks, boosters, and payload modules, as well as their current fuel levels. The mod then calculates how far your existing fuel can take you and how far a full tank would allow. This feature operates in read-only mode, ensuring your save data remains completely untouched.

Enhanced Food Production Calculations

The Food Calculation tab offers advanced features to fine-tune your agricultural output:

• Growth Buffs: Toggle on various buffs you’re utilizing, such as Farmer’s Delight (2x growth speed), Sweetles’ Care (+5% growth speed), or Pinch Reapers’ Friction (+50% growth speed), and the calculations will automatically adjust.
• Electrolyzer Oxygen Supply: Opt to include the water consumption of your electrolyzers in the total water demand calculation. Based on 60kg of oxygen produced per electrolyzer per cycle, it estimates roughly 67.6kg of water consumed per duplicant, helping you better manage your water infrastructure, especially geysers.
• Local Geyser Data: The mod directly reads the actual output from every geyser in your current save, factoring in their long-term averages, including periods of dormancy or intermittent flow.
