Are you tired of the default spell-swapping behavior in Noita when organizing your wands? Introducing Spell Push, a powerful mod designed to give you finer control over your spell inventory and transform how you manage your arsenal. This mod fundamentally changes the way spells interact within your wands, offering a more intuitive and flexible system for creating potent combinations.

Understanding Spell Push Mechanics

The core of Spell Push lies in its “insert-and-push” functionality. Instead of simply swapping spells when you drag one onto an occupied slot, Spell Push inserts the dragged spell into the target slot. The existing spell, and any others in its path, are then elegantly pushed aside to make room. This allows for a fluid rearrangement process, much like sliding items into a packed drawer.

For situations where you might need the classic swap behavior, Spell Push has you covered. By default, holding down the Left Alt key while dropping a spell will revert to Noita’s original drag-and-drop mechanics. This functionality can even be inverted within the mod’s settings, allowing you to make the traditional swap the default and activate Spell Push’s unique behavior with Left Alt.

Smart Rearrangement

Spell Push intelligently handles wand layout to accommodate your spell insertions:

  • If there’s an open slot to the right of your drop target, all spells between the target and the open slot will shift one position to the right.
  • If no space is available to the right but there is an empty slot to the left, spells will shift leftward to create room.
  • In the rare case of a completely full wand and a spell being inserted from your inventory or another wand, the mod gracefully falls back to the standard swap behavior.
  • Crucially, rearranging spells *within* the same wand is always possible, even on a full wand. The original slot from which you dragged the spell becomes the newly opened space.

What Spell Push Doesn’t Change

It’s important to note that Spell Push exclusively modifies the behavior of spells within your wands. Your main spell inventory remains unaffected, retaining the vanilla swap behavior. This mod is designed as a mouse-only utility for now, enhancing the drag-and-drop interaction for ultimate wand customization.
