Master Your Settlers with NPC Commands for Necesse

Take your settlement management in Necesse to a whole new level with the indispensable NPC Commands mod. This powerful modification introduces a suite of intuitive controls and enhancements designed to give you granular oversight of your valued settlers. Say goodbye to micromanagement woes and hello to a more streamlined and efficient Necesse experience.

Precise Control and Summoning

Direct your settlers with unparalleled precision. By holding the Alt key and targeting a settler, you can instantly halt their current actions, commanding them to stand their ground. They’ll face you attentively while you issue commands and will resume their duties shortly after you shift your focus. For those moments when a settler is just out of reach, a simple right-click summons them to your current location. They’ll travel to you, await your next instruction, and then continue with their day – no persistent following required.

Enhanced Functionality at a Glance

The NPC Commands mod streamlines several key aspects of settler management:

  • Strategic Halt: Press and hold Alt while targeting a settler to make them stop in their tracks.
  • On-Demand Summoning: Right-click any settler (even at a distance) to call them to your location.
  • Pathfinding Indicators: Visual cues like a tick, cross, or text message provide immediate feedback on summon success or pathfinding issues.
  • Visible Preferences: Settler preferences for flowers, gems, and coins are now directly visible in the work priorities table, eliminating the need to dig through dialogue menus.
  • Automated Cooking: Enable the cooking row for settlers with favorite dishes to have them autonomously prepare and enjoy meals within allowed diet parameters.
  • Dietary Efficiency: A new button in the settlement diet screen allows for quick pasting of dietary settings across all settlers simultaneously.

Seamless Integration

Rest assured, the NPC Commands mod is designed for minimal impact on your existing gameplay. Holding or summoning settlers does not alter their core job, orders, or adventure party assignments. These commands are temporary and will naturally conclude if you disconnect or remove the mod. Furthermore, only your active settlers will respond to these commands, ensuring those on missions or away from your settlement remain undisturbed.

Important Note for Multiplayer: For servers and clients to function correctly, all players and the server itself must have the same version of the NPC Commands mod installed. This ensures seamless network packet and job type synchronization. In singleplayer, the mod works automatically.
