Refine Your Necesse Experience with the Item Balance Mod

The Item Balance mod offers a comprehensive overhaul for your Necesse adventures, focusing on creating a smoother and more rewarding progression through refined equipment, weapons, food, and monster encounters. This mod aims to enhance your gameplay without drastically altering the core experience, ensuring that each upgrade feels meaningful and that your favorite gear remains viable for longer.

Equipment and Progression Tweaks

A significant portion of this mod’s impact comes from its detailed adjustments to equipment. The Pharaoh set has been reimagined with a desert theme, now requiring quartz equipment and boasting adjusted stats and armor for a more fitting role. Similarly, the Demonic and Tungsten sets have been transformed into proper, stat-rich sets. Armor values across biomes have been carefully tuned to provide a clear sense of advancement, while early-game gear sees minor adjustments for better pacing. Summoner gear and other lower-statted armors receive a much-needed boost, ensuring a wider array of playstyles are supported throughout your journey.

Weaponry and Combat Enhancements

Combat in Necesse feels more consistent and impactful with the Item Balance mod. All weapon types, not just true melee, now benefit from increased resilience that scales with tier progression. Tooltips have been updated to more accurately reflect the attack speed and damage of various weapons, including Greatswords, Katanas, and the Sapphire Revolver. Importantly, summon attack speed now correctly influences your summoned allies’ attack rate. Mana costs have been rebalanced for greater consistency, and numerous weapons have received buffs and subtle nerfs to create a more level playing field, with particular attention paid to boomerangs’ resilience.

Food, Monsters, and Quality of Life

Beyond combat gear, this mod polishes the finer details of Necesse. Food buffs now have consistent durations and rarities, with meal crafting recipes organized by rarity at all cooking stations. Some food buffs have been tweaked to support more gradual progression, and burger dishes are now more accessible with flexible meat ingredients and reduced component requirements. Monster encounters are also more engaging, with adjusted armor progression in pre-deep cave areas and more potent special monsters like Evil Witches and the Aged Champion. The plains deep cave enemies and their possession effects have been buffed to present a more substantial challenge. Additionally, quality-of-life improvements include the Scrapyard boss appearing in the journal, Shipping Chests with reduced spoil rates, and a higher chance of finding Happiness Items.
