The Empowered Lighter

Willow’s iconic Lighter receives a significant upgrade, shedding its durability limitations and becoming a more potent tool. It now boasts two dedicated slots capable of holding unlimited Embers and Living Logs. The power of your attacks scales with the contents of these slots, offering a dynamic boost to your combat effectiveness. Furthermore, a chance exists for empowered attacks to consume the stored resources, adding a layer of tactical decision-making to combat.

The Lighter’s fire absorption range has also been dramatically expanded, allowing you to gather fuel from a much wider area. This convenient feature now directly deposits Embers into the Lighter’s slots, streamlining resource management. Spells will intelligently prioritize consuming Embers from the Lighter, even when it’s not actively held, ensuring a smoother spellcasting experience.

A Revitalized Bernie

Bernie, Willow’s wooden protector, is also subject to a host of improvements. He now binds to the most recent Willow who possesses him, simplifying his management in multiplayer servers. Bernie will now reliably teleport to his owner if left behind, follow through cave transitions seamlessly, and crucially, retain his binding even after saving and loading your game.

The Bernie Skill Tree

Unlock new potentials for Bernie through an integrated skill tree:

• Sanity Bernie I: The threshold for Bernie to transform into his more powerful “Big Bernie” form is lowered, making him more accessible.
• Sanity Bernie II: Bernie transforms regardless of your current sanity. However, maintaining high sanity is key, as taking damage as Bernie while above a certain threshold will drain Willow’s own sanity.
• Hotheaded: A beneficial perk that causes Bernie to regenerate health when Willow recovers her own sanity.
