Using the Auto Walking mod couldn’t be simpler. To initiate an automatic journey, just right-click on your map, minimap HUD, or smallmap HUD. Your character will then meticulously plot a course and begin walking towards your chosen destination. For those who prefer a controller, the ‘Y’ button serves as the trigger. The mod cleverly differentiates between initiating auto-walk and performing original map actions. To execute standard map actions, such as interacting with specific character abilities or points of interest, simply double-right-click or use a modifier key combination (Ctrl, Alt, or Shift) with a right-click.

Unlock Advanced Pathfinding Options

The Auto Walking mod goes beyond basic pathfinding, offering several advanced features to customize your experience:

• Bypass Obstacles: This essential feature allows your character to intelligently navigate around various environmental hazards and impassable terrain, including Lureplants, fossils, statues, ponds, Sinkholes, and even Antlion’s domain.
• Pathfinder Choices: Choose between two powerful pathfinding algorithms. “A*” offers more robust long-distance pathfinding, potentially following roads, but may cause minor FPS dips on complex paths. Alternatively, “Klei’s” utilizes the game’s built-in, more efficient C-side pathfinder, though it may abandon searches that exceed a time limit.
• Append Path: Seamlessly extend your current journey. Once a path is established, you can mark a new point to continue traveling without interruption. The keybind for this function is configurable in the mod’s settings.
• Auto Speedup Game (Solo): For solo players, this option automatically boosts the game speed while your character is walking, significantly cutting down travel time during single-player sessions.
