The Legion
The Legion: A Cursed Warrior for Darkest Dungeon
Prepare to face the horrors of the Darkest Dungeon with a new, formidable hero: The Legion. A survivor of ancient atrocities and a victim of dark sorcery, The Legion is bound to the spectral remnants of his fallen empire. These wraiths and revenants fuel his unyielding strength, allowing him to strike back against the very forces that cursed him to an eternity of suffering.
The Bloodlust Mechanic
The Legion’s unique gameplay revolves around his “Bloodlust” mechanic, a system that allows for dynamic shifts between defensive and offensive combat styles. He begins each dungeon at Bloodlust 1, and can transition between a protective “Praetorio” mode and a more aggressive “Centurio” mode. Key skills like “Blood of the Legion” and “Stoic Duty” are crucial for managing this Bloodlust, which persists between combats. While typically capped between Bloodlust 1 and 6, certain effects can push The Legion to the extreme Bloodlust 0 or 7, offering unique tactical advantages and challenges.
