Core Mechanics and Unique Skills

The Entrenched distinguishes itself with a special movement ability, “Retreating Flare.” This skill not only repositions the hero but also marks a target and significantly reduces their dodge chance, making them vulnerable to subsequent attacks. This creates opportunities for your other heroes to land crucial hits.

Key combat skills include:

  • Shovel Bash: A moderate damage attack with a high chance to stun, particularly effective against guarding enemies.
  • Stand Proud: Offers stress healing and buffs allies’ stats when they are targeting marked enemies.
  • Fortifications: This versatile skill can buff a target’s damage, protection, and move resistance while guarding them. It can also mark an enemy and debuff them, or move an ally to position one.
  • Flare Gun: Activates a riposte, retaliating against attackers and marking them.
  • Spot the Target: A ranged skill that marks enemies and reduces their dodge, capable of bypassing guards.
  • Artillery Fire: A high-damage ranged attack that requires either guarding oneself or targeting a marked enemy, with a self-inflicted damage debuff afterward.
  • Patch Up: A supportive skill that provides a small heal, cures bleed, and increases critical hit resistance.

Strategic Trinkets and Camping Skills

Equip The Entrenched with a variety of specialized trinkets to further enhance their capabilities. From increasing armor-piercing with the Trencher’s Pickaxe to boosting healing and damage with the Extensive Field Kit, each trinket offers unique synergies.
