Unique Mechanics and Battle Prowess

Altair EGO brings a suite of distinct mechanics to your Darkest Dungeon expeditions. Her afflictions of Bleed and Blight bypass enemy resistances, relying solely on her innate probabilities. Furthermore, she possesses an immunity to the troublesome grab effects from certain bosses, and when equipped with her unique trinkets, she becomes impervious to enemy Charm effects. These potent traits are detailed within her weapon and armor descriptions.

Mastering Her Forms

Altair EGO operates across three distinct modes, each offering a different strategic approach to combat:

• Ally Mode: In this mode, allies take the offensive, wielding unique skills. Players must carefully consider their upgrade paths, as once a skill is upgraded, it can only be reset through the ultimate sacrifice of the hero. This allows for a staggering twenty distinct skill effects and animations to be integrated within her four active slots.
• Resonant EGO Mode: This mode focuses on building towards a powerful EGO manifestation. Key skills include “Forced Resonance – Aberration” which builds a counter towards EGO Manifestation, and “Piercing” which inflicts Bleed and offers lifesteal. Other abilities like “Bullet Barrage” and powerful “Movement” skills offer unique buffs and debuffs.
• EGO Manifestation: Upon reaching a certain threshold, Altair enters a state of pure power, unleashing devastating attacks and altering the battlefield. Skills like “Dark Ash Slash” guarantee hits on weakened foes, while “Faded Journey” can draw powerful “Final Act” pages that drastically alter combat dynamics.

Final Acts and Trinkets

The mod also introduces a variety of powerful “Final Act” skills and twelve new, thematic trinkets to further customize Altair’s capabilities and further explore her unique lore.
