The Mentor’s Boon: Preventing Unwanted Resolve XP

The core concept behind these new trinkets is to allow your high-level heroes to accompany and guide lower-level party members without accumulating further Resolve XP. This means your seasoned warriors can remain at their current Resolve Level, preventing them from reaching milestones that might lead to stress or other complications, while still providing crucial support and leadership in the darkest depths.

This mod features four distinct Rare-tier trinkets, each with its own unique benefits and drawbacks, all sharing the crucial characteristic of providing -100% Resolve XP Gain. These are designed to be equipped by heroes who are acting as mentors, ensuring their own progression remains stable.

• Scholar’s Pennant (Limit: 1): Enhances your hero’s scouting abilities and trap disarming prowess, making the path ahead safer for the entire party. Be mindful, however, of the slight reduction in Max HP.
• Guardian’s Standard (Limit: 2): Bolsters your hero’s resilience by increasing Max HP and reducing incoming Stress. This comes at the cost of a slight decrease in damage output, but the added survivability is invaluable.
• Instructor’s Banner (Limit: 2): Focuses on enhancing healing capabilities, both for HP and Stress, ensuring the mentor can keep the party in fighting shape. This benefit is balanced by an increase in Stress Received, requiring careful management.
• Tactician’s Flag (Limit: 1): Improves your hero’s accuracy and evasiveness, allowing them to effectively protect allies and land crucial blows. A minor reduction in DMG is the trade-off for this increased battlefield control.
