The Sisters are a single vessel housing two warring souls. Outside of the crucible of combat, the Scholar maintains control, utilizing forbidden knowledge to manipulate life essence, bolster allies, and debilitate foes. However, when battle erupts, the Warrior emerges, reveling in brutal melee combat and swiftly dispatching enemies with a visceral, cruel efficiency.

This constant internal struggle defines their gameplay. Their abilities are designed around a strategic give-and-take, demanding players plan several turns ahead to harness their full potential. Successfully navigating their unique mechanics can turn The Sisters into one of the most potent and adaptable additions to your roster.

Unique Mechanics and Challenges

The Sisters present a distinct challenge and playstyle:

• Discordant Affliction: The Sisters cannot achieve Virtues. Instead, they are prone to the unique Affliction, Discordant.
• Unpredictable Behavior: When Discordant, The Sisters may act independently, pass their turn, move erratically, or even harm themselves, mirroring their internal strife.
• Vulnerability: During Discordance, their maximum HP and resistances are significantly reduced, making them a vulnerable target.
• Stress Mechanics: Certain powerful skills, such as Bramble, Blossom, Trespass, and Crimson Dance, inflict Stress upon The Sisters themselves.
• Internal Stress Cycle: Using Scholar skills increases the Stress penalty for subsequent Scholar skills (excluding Possession), while decreasing the penalty for Warrior skills. Conversely, using Warrior skills increases their own Stress penalty while reducing the Scholar’s.
