A Reworked Hero for a Deeper Challenge

This mod reimagines the Duchess, shifting her from a hero with fixed abilities to one with a dynamic and customizable skill set. You’ll now have access to seven interchangeable skills, allowing you to tailor her loadout to the specific demands of each quest. Her base stats have also been rebalanced, positioning her as a resilient mid-line combatant with a stat profile that sits between the Crusader and the Leper.

Key Features of the Duchess Rework:

  • Expanded Skill Arsenal: Choose from a roster of seven unique skills, offering greater strategic depth and adaptability in combat.
  • No More Beast Form Restrictions: The Duchess now operates solely in her human form, freeing her from previous skill limitations.
  • Virtue and Affliction System: She can now experience the benefits of virtues and is subject to virtue chance modifiers, while her personal afflictions have been removed.
  • Enhanced Trinket Options: A full suite of non-CC trinkets has been added, complementing the adjusted original sets and her unique crystalline trinket.
  • Visual Variety: Six new color palette swaps provide additional cosmetic options for your heroes.

Mastering the Duchess’s New Abilities

The reworked Duchess boasts a diverse array of offensive and defensive skills. Engage foes at close range with Sanguine Edge, which deals increased damage, accuracy, and critical chance against bleeding targets. Crimson Lance offers a long-range strike that rewards forward positioning and also applies a bleed. Control the battlefield with Quell The Rabble, a ranged debuff that hinders enemy accuracy, crit, and speed, with a chance to stun. For defensive maneuvers, Preposterous Challenge grants an aegis block, activates Riposte, and marks the Duchess. Castigate provides a potent stun with a self-bleed, dealing bonus damage to stunned foes. Drain Masses offers a weak ranged attack with a self-heal, while Fatal Chomp delivers a final blow with a self-heal that scales against bleeding targets and low-health enemies.
