Strange, swirling masses of rubble now haunt the skies above the Hamlet, coalescing around a gaping maw in existence itself. This isn’t just a cosmetic change; it’s a gateway. From the chilling darkness of this dimensional rift, familiar foes emerge, twisted and empowered by an ominous red glow. The survival of your Hamlet hangs in the balance as you must confront these interdimensional horrors before they consume everything you hold dear.

The Portal: A Desperate Stand

Dimensional Havoc centers around a new, dynamic event akin to the Brigand Incursion, but with far more otherworldly stakes. A portal will manifest within your Hamlet, spewing forth waves of monstrous invaders drawn from alternate realities. To close this Rending Abyss, you must defeat a predetermined number of these encroaching enemies. The Portal summons an escalating number of monster waves based on difficulty: five for Apprentice, six for Veteran, and seven for Champion. Each wave offers numerous variations, ensuring that no two confrontations are ever quite the same. Once a wave is thinned to a single survivor, the Portal itself will begin to act independently, buying time for the next assault.

Unique Challenges and Rewards

The waves you face will feature unsettling variants of monsters from all the vanilla regions, with the Hamlet’s own wave boasting a staggering ten variations. Veteran and Champion waves each present four distinct challenges. Expect the unexpected: cannibalistic spiders, alpha Gnashers leading their packs, Giants accompanied by loyal dogs, and Stingers charging up devastating electrical attacks. These are not your standard encounters; they require new strategies and a deep understanding of your roster.

This mod also introduces:

• Three new quests, one for each difficulty tier (Apprentice, Veteran, Champion), all focused on defeating the Portal.
• Specific week and hero level requirements to trigger each quest.
• Substantial rewards, including unique trinkets and potent Empyreal Quirks.
• Eight additional Quirks awarded for overcoming specific Veteran and Champion wave variants.
• Empyreal Quirks offer powerful buffs and occasional reality-bending effects.
• A harsh punishment for ignoring the event: loss of building upgrades, mirroring the consequences of other Hamlet invasions.
