「老兵增强」Man At Arms Enhance (EX)
The Veteran Reimagined: A Darkest Dungeon Mod
The Man-at-Arms, a stalwart defender of the Hamlet, receives a significant overhaul in this compelling Darkest Dungeon modification. Designed with challenging encounters and formidable bosses in mind, this mod aims to elevate the Veteran’s utility and presence on the battlefield. While potentially potent in standard playthroughs, it truly shines when facing the game’s most demanding adversaries.
Refining Core Abilities
This mod addresses the perceived underutilization of two key Man-at-Arms skills: Bellow and Command. Recognizing their low pick rates, the developer has ingeniously merged Bellow and Command into a single, potent new skill, “War Cry.” This consolidation creates a synergistic effect, aiming to make this combined ability a far more appealing and impactful choice. Furthermore, the Command skill has been re-envisioned as a positional adjustment tool, granting players greater freedom to manipulate their party’s formation during the heat of battle. The Bolster skill also sees an increase in its per-battle usage, balanced by the introduction of a cooldown to prevent overuse.
Enhanced Stat Allocation
Beyond skill adjustments, the Man-at-Arms benefits from a revised base stat progression. This includes:
- Increased maximum HP across all levels.
- A noticeable boost to Dodge, making the Veteran more evasive.
- Enhanced critical hit chance, adding a new layer of offensive potential.
- Improved base damage output for more consistent offensive pressure.
- A slight increase in base Speed, allowing for earlier actions.
- A new critical hit effect that reduces incoming stress and provides a temporary defense buff.
Additional Utility and Customization
The mod introduces further layers of depth, including adjusted resistance values and new mechanics for the Man-at-Arms’ movement and riposte capabilities. While camping skills and trinkets are still under development, players can anticipate further customization options. A unique feature allows for a “Non-Religious” variant of the Man-at-Arms to appear in the Stage Coach, offering a choice of four skills and the important restriction that this variant cannot be fielded in the same party as the standard Man-at-Arms.
This modification represents a thoughtful re-imagining of a beloved hero, offering new tactical possibilities and increased viability for the Man-at-Arms across the various challenges Darkest Dungeon presents.
