Brave adventurers venturing into the horrors of Darkest Dungeon now have a new way to equip themselves for the trials ahead. A recent mod introduces a novel integration, bringing the coveted trinkets of the Arena directly to the familiar confines of the Stage Coach.

A New Avenue for Power

Inspired by existing modifications that explored the potential of Arena-themed trinkets and single-player Arena mechanics, this mod bridges the gap between these powerful items and your regular recruitment and preparation routine. No longer will you need to solely rely on the traditional methods to acquire these potent boosts.

Key Features and Mechanics

This innovative mod seamlessly incorporates Arena trinkets into the Stage Coach interface. A dedicated button within the Stage Coach will now grant access to a new screen where these specialized items can be purchased. The trinkets themselves have been carefully balanced to align with the established Arena trinket values, offering unique advantages:

• Modified Crit Chance: Some trinkets may enhance critical hit chances against foes below a certain health threshold, making them ideal for finishing off weakened enemies.
• Stress Mitigation: Instead of directly inflicting stress, certain trinkets might offer passive stress damage reduction, helping your heroes endure the psychological toll of their expeditions.
• Strategic Acquisition: Hero-exclusive trinkets are available for a price of 30,000 gold, while more general-purpose trinkets can be acquired for 20,000 gold.
• Limited Availability: To maintain balance, there’s a limit of one hero-exclusive trinket and two general-purpose trinkets that can be held at any time.

Known Issues to Consider

As with any modification, there are a few quirks players should be aware of. Currently, upgrades offering discounts to the Stage Coach may have their effects unintentionally doubled. Additionally, there’s a known bug where the Arena trinket inventory may appear empty upon initial game entry. This typically resolves itself after advancing to the next week, so it’s recommended to make your purchases before exiting the game to ensure availability in your next session.
