New Playable Characters

The Serious-SomeSeriousWork mod brings a cast of unique characters, each with their own distinct starting conditions and powerful, yet challenging, abilities:

• Contra: A high-risk, high-reward character starting at 1 HP, unable to heal or use melee weapons, but gaining projectiles for every 15 Max HP.
• Ninja: Begins with a Shuriken, boasting a critical chance tied to attack speed, with adjusted armor and dodge modifications.
• Seal: Offers a chance for legendary item drops and enhances future chances, but comes with health penalties and armor reduction based on unique Tier IV items.
• Sleepy: Sacrifices speed and attack speed initially, gaining boosts from damage taken, with penalties to dodge and harvesting but increased armor.
• Fire God: Wields Flaming Brass Knuckles II, gains damage from elemental sources, and causes enemies to explode on death, at the cost of sacrificing health over time.
• Thunder God: Unleashes elemental damage on random enemies periodically, with a chance to hit himself and gain elemental damage bonuses on kills.
• Water God: Benefits from HP regeneration with increased attack speed and dodge, and gains significant buffs to attack speed, dodge, armor, and damage while stationary.
• Wind God: Gains attack speed and damage based on movement speed, but suffers a significant damage penalty while standing still.

Enhanced Original Characters

Several beloved original Brotato characters have also received a makeover, indicated by a “+” suffix to their names. These modifications offer alternative playstyles and fresh challenges for veteran players.
